  13.  We have been inundated by requests for support. As with our commercial
  14.  products we provide all users of Monitor Saver with prompt and concise
  15.  answers to their questions and concerns. In order to cover our costs of
  16.  support, THIS AND ALL SUBSEQUENT VERSIONS OF MONITOR SAVER ARE NOW SHAREWARE.
  17.  Please take the time to register your program (its only $10.00).
  18.  This will help us cover the costs we have incurred just in CIS connect
  19.  charges alone!
  20.  If you are new to computing or bulletin boards. Shareware distribution is a
  21.  way for you to "try before you buy" a program. It is however not free
  22.  software. If you like a program you are obligated to pay the author for it.
  23.  Deciding to use and not register a program is no different than taking a car
  24.  for a test drive, deciding you like it, and never bothering to come back
  25.  and pay the dealer for it!

  40.  Monitor Saver with a Comm program such as XTALK for Windows, or when
  41.  using only the keyboard for input during word processing sessions.

  43.  Using Monitor Saver
  44.  -------------------
  45.  Monitor Saver is a screen saver for Microsoft Windows 3.0 only.
  46.  The program loads itself into memory and then becomes iconic. If you have
  47.  not added the [Monitor Saver] line to your win.ini file, Monitor Saver
  48.  will use its default delay time of 15 minutes before it blanks your monitor.

  50.   Setting Up The Delay Time.
  51.  --------------------------
  52.  1.) You may assign a default delay time by placing the following
  53.      statement in your win.ini file:
  54.      [Monitor Saver]
  55.      delay=X
  56.      You can assign X a value in minutes from 1 - 99.  This value will then
  57.      be used by Monitor Saver each time you start Windows.
  58.  
  59.  2.) Monitor Saver will restore your screen either by moving your
  60.      mouse, or by pressing any key on your keyboard.

  62.  Changing The Delay Time For The Current Windows Session Only
  63.  ------------------------------------------------------------
  64.  You may increase or decrease the delay time for your current Windows
  65.  session by following these steps.

  67.  1.) Restore Monitor Saver by double clicking on its icon, or select Restore
  68.      from its System Menu.
  69.  2.) Press Alt D or click on the Set Delay menu option
  70.  3.) A dialog box will be displayed showing the current delay time.
  71.  4.) Enter the new delay time and click on the OK button, or press enter.
  72.  5.) This will then be the new delay time until you either re-set it as
  73.      described above, or exit Windows.

  77.  There is no warranty either expressed or implied. Use Monitor Saver at
  78.  your own risk.

  82.  Monitor Saver Ver 1.2 is Shareware. It is NOT FREE SOFTWARE.
  83.  If you use it daily, register your copy so we can inform you of future
  84.  enhancements and of other utilities that we will be releasing in the near
  85.  future. Commercial user's Must Register their copy(s) of Monitor Saver.
  86.  We have included a registration form for your convenience. Simply copy it
  87.  to your printer using the DOS copy command.

  89.  Custom Icons For Monitor Saver!

  91.  Many user's have requested custom Icons to replace the standard one that
  92.  moves around the display when Monitor Saver is active. We will be happy to
  93.  provide this service to registered users. Please contact us for more
